Ali Mousa & Sons Holding Company Information
General information
Ali Moosa & Sons Holding journey of growth started in 1978 in the coastal town of Khor Fakkan along the Gulf of Oman, when founder and current chairman Ali Moosa Al Naqbi set up Oman Gulf Contracting Co as a small private family firm with a vision of contributing to the construction boom sweeping the United Arab Emirates, which was on the cusp of becoming a leading economic center in the region. Oman Gulf Contracting Co delivered raw materials to the Emirates and neighboring Oman, providing the cornerstone for the group which grew into a diversified group in the 1990s. After moving the company to Sharjah and renaming it Ali Moosa & Sons Contracting in 1991, the company won contracts from the government of Sharjah and other federal governments to build universities, schools, mosques, centers and other buildings. These projects cemented AMS reputation as a reliable partner for UAE companies and governments. Ali Moosa’s vision to grow the company into a leading contracting and diversified group led in the 1992 to establishing several divisions for joineries, metal, aluminum, and pre-fabricated porto-cabins, which now occupy over 2 million square feet in Sharjah’s Sajaa Industrial Area under the umbrella of AMS Holding. The group has since expanded from a company with about 500 employees in 1995 to a group employing over 7000 with a regional footprint and successful participation in prestigious projects.
