General information

NANA Regional Corporation was founded as a result of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), passed by Congress and signed by President Nixon in 1971 and is fully-owned by more than 14,000 Iñupiat - the indigenous people of northwest Alaska enrolled to the company as shareholders. NANA is governed by an elected Board of Directors drawn from our 11 villages; ensuring our corporation maintains our Iñupiat culture and values as the cornerstone of our governance.
